Port Huron to Mackinac
Laura and I are in Port Huron, Michigan now to visit her parents and watch the start of the Port Huron to Mackinac Island sailboat race. The race literally starts in their back yard (the pic is the view from our room) so we get to watch all the boats come in and out. Tonight is the big party where thousands of people come to check out the boats. Laura's dad Ralph always throws a bash of his own, with a rock band made up of his lifelong friends, a bunch of Natural Light and tons of chili. So good luck to Ryan (far right) on Thirsty Tiger and all the other sailors.
