Heatherose + James | Oakland, California

Heather and James had one of the most eclectically beautiful weddings I have ever attended. Heather's unique, custom-made gown was so much fun to photograph all day. And having the backdrop of the majestic Scottish Rite Center for the ceremony and reception was a treat. In addition, the décor was personal for Heather and her family, as Heather's mother, who is a florist, made all the arrangements, including all the bouquets, for the wedding. It was also wonderful to witness the raw emotion Heather and James felt throughout the day.

Erin + Tim engagement | Los Gatos, California

Erin and Tim have been together for 11 years, but still flirt like when they met when they were 17 years old. It was great seeing a couple so connected and I'm looking forward to their wedding in Lake Tahoe later this summer.

Mariano and family | San Francisco

Last week I got to spend some time with Mariano Friginal and his family. It was a very windy and cold day in the city, so we spent a lot of time in their hotel room downtown before venturing out to Bernal Hill for a few chilly minutes. Mariano is a very talented wedding and portrait photographer in Fresno. I love shooting for fellow photographers. It's always an honor for me.

Carrie + Bobby | Playa Del Carmen, Mexico

My first May wedding this year gave me the opportunity to not only photograph in one of my favorite places in the world, but also to photograph a bride who shares my last name. Carrie and Bobby brought in their friends from L.A., and they all knew how to have a good time. And as soon as I saw a big pool in the middle of the reception site, I hoped they would start jumping in by the end of the night. They did.

Rachel + Paul | Playa Del Carmen, Mexico

Right before I left Mexico two weeks ago, I joined my good friends Sol and Matt of Del Sol Photography to help them photograph the wedding of Rachel and Paul, who are wedding videographers in Mexico. I first met Rachel and Paul last December at Sol and Matt's own wedding when they were filming it. I know, that is kind of confusing with wedding photographers photographing wedding videographers who filmed wedding photographer's personal weddings. But here are some of my photos from the day, along with a few from a trash the dress session with Sol and Matt from earlier that week.
